Profile
In the past, MINO created many works related to Japanese history, mainly from the Warring States period, to attract a certain facility staff member who had a love for history. Despite her best efforts, she wasn’t able to catch his eye through these efforts, so from around 2015 she began to gradually draw Ichikawa Ennosuke, a Kabuki actor, as her “new lover”. Many of her works were drawn with a ballpoint pen, and the reciprocation of the trajectory creates a unique line that combines both sharpness and fluctuations. Characters of the manga “One Piece” are sometimes drawn in her works because these characters are depicted in the “Super-kabuki” theatrical play, where Ennosuke appears as a cast member. In addition, foods are often drawn as motifs, sometimes exclusively, and “melon-pan” bread, “cream-pan” bread and so on, are frequently drawn in the forms of letters and pictures inside the motif of a person.
