Instead of using embroidered threads, Chiharu Ueba makes embroidery works by using a bundle of sewing threads being pierced through a needle. Because of her unique technique, her embroidery works are finished into the form of a plate that’s about 1 cm thick. If you look closer at her works from the side, you will see a bundle of yarn with various colors mixed together and undulating in their appearance.
